I am determined to keep up with Xanga this time.
I guess one of the reasons I love writing is because it gives me a chance to have people read my thoughts. Maybe not many people will come across my site, but at least those who do get to find out what I think. It's a comforting thought to know that someone is reading your opinions pondering over what you wrote.Anyways! I am on to my next project (well one of them, I actually have 3 or 4 going right now) But i think this one is going to be a lot of fun.. I have to create an animal of my choice but thorugh a collage.
So here's the start:
1. Found a picture of a Penguin and her baby.

2. Look through magazines for the colors I need (blacks, whites, grays, yellows, greens, blues- this includes what I want my background to look like)

3. I rip out tons and tons of pages (this ends up being a huge mess of course)
I cut some, rip others.

4. I draw a really rough copy and lay out a few pieces.

5. I cut my posterboard on my self-healing mat using an exacto knife and t-square
6. I begin working on the background before the penguin(s)
This is what I have so far: (it took about 2 hours) Ripping, cutting gluing, repeat, move some pieces, reglue, rip, cut, glue, rip, cut glue.

Winter Wonderland :)

So now I need to create the penguins....
nice mess huh :P
And just so you know........

I would hang myself after the first hour. That is, if I even had the creativity to think of a project like this.
Props to you!
I think a lot of us blog on sites like xanga and myspace for just that reason: to allow people to see thoughts that we have and want to share but are unable to communicate them the usual way.
Plus keeping journals are cathartic ^_^
